Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how CatchRect ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use our mobile game CatchRect (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the limited data we collect.

Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum data required to operate the leaderboard feature:

• Nickname — the name you choose to display on the leaderboard. Nicknames are not unique and are not verified — anyone can enter any name. We do not associate nicknames with real identities.
• Game score — your in-game result submitted to the leaderboard.
• Installation ID (UUID) — a randomly generated identifier created on your device. It is reset when you clear the app's data or reinstall the App. It is used solely to associate your leaderboard entries with your device.
• IP address — automatically received by our server when you submit a score. This is used exclusively for fraud prevention and protection against cheating, and is not used for any other purpose.

How We Use Your Information

• App functionality — to display your score on the leaderboard.
• Fraud prevention and security — to detect and prevent cheating or abuse.

We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, analytics, or profiling.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties. Your nickname and score are displayed publicly on the leaderboard. Your IP address and Installation ID are never shown to other users and are never transferred to third parties.

Data Retention

Leaderboard entries (nickname and score) are retained as long as they are relevant to the leaderboard. IP addresses are retained only as long as necessary for security purposes and are periodically deleted.

Data Security

All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We take reasonable technical measures to protect the data we hold.

Children's Privacy

CatchRect is rated for ages 3 and up and complies with the Google Play Families Policy, the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children beyond what is described in this policy (nickname and score for leaderboard functionality). We do not use collected data for advertising or profiling.

Your Rights

You have the right to request deletion of your leaderboard entries or ask what data we hold associated with your account.

Since nicknames are not unique, we can only identify your records by your Installation ID (UUID). To find it, check the App's settings or about screen. Please include it in your request so we can locate and delete your data.
